Again, not interested in the premise, and if I want to watch pr0n, I'll actually watch pr0n. If long-time-coming book publications is a frustrating point for you, you might want to wait on this.

I think for your comparison, you're being fair. Sanderson is on track for 1 books in the Stormlight Archive every 3. It could be possible that over the stretch of the series that he buckles down a knocks out a few books in a shorter timespan.

However, the series is supposed to be ten books, broken into two, five-book segments. Even if they came out every two years, that's still 20 years to completion. With that said, I'm not the biggest fan of Sanderson, so I don't want you to think I'm a fanboy coming to his defense.

However, I don't think many other authors have this kind of writing speed under their belt to constantly be working through multiple, highly-acclaimed series simultaneously. Whether or not I like is style of writing won't stop me from acknowledging how impressive this is. He's satisfying a lot of different fans in short timespans.

This doesn't include the other short stories he was publishing at the time as well. Joined Jan 23, Messages I liked the original Mistborn series, but haven't kept up with the latter ones.

The place of nightmares. Kalak found himself shaking. When had he become so weak? How long had it been? Centuries, perhaps millennia, of torture.

It was so hard to keep track. Those fires, those hooks, digging into his flesh anew each day. Searing the skin off his arm, then burning the fat, then driving to the bone. He could smell it. Almighty, he could smell it!

A…a decision has been made. It is time for the Oathpact to end. There is a chance we might end the cycle of Desolations. Black smoke rose from a small patch to their left. Groans of the dying haunted them from behind. Perhaps even cowardice. This was a man hanging from a cliff by a thread. Almighty above, Kalak thought. They all were. Kalak turned and walked to the side, where a low ridge overlooked part of the battlefield. There were so many corpses, and among them walked the living.

Men in primitive wraps, carrying spears topped by bronze heads. Juxtaposed between them were others in gleaming plate armor. One group walked past, four men in their ragged tanned skins or shoddy leather joining a powerful figure in beautiful silver plate, amazingly intricate. Such a contrast. Jezrien stepped up beside him. That will be enough. The enemy. He will find a way around it. You know he will. The flesh burning.
